YOGA PHILOSOPHY MONDAY
In the Bhagavad Gita, yoga is defined as the practice of tolerating the consequences of being yourself, meaning one should act according to their true nature (svadharma) without being controlled by fear or ego. It is better to follow your true purpose poorly than to be follow someone else’s path well.
- Embracing Authenticity: This approach encourages accepting yourself fully, including your strengths and weaknesses, rather than trying to fit into a mold.
-Detachment from Results: The Gita advises focusing on duty rather than the outcomes, which frees you from anxiety and allows for genuine self-expression.
-Equanimity (Samatvam): The goal is to remain balanced, not becoming overly excited by success or too depressed by failure, treating each as part of the journey.
-Inner Strength: By accepting responsibility for the consequences of your actions, you cultivate a deeper, more resilient self-awareness.
