Celebrating Black History Month by recognizing progress in orthopedic care. 🧑🏾‍⚕️

Throughout history, African American orthopedic surgeons have helped advance surgical techniques, research, and education that continue to shape patient care today. One of these trailblazers is Robert J. Gladden, who paved the way for African American orthopedic surgeons and helped open doors for greater representation within the field.

Without the perspectives and leadership of physicians like Dr. Gladden, and so many others, orthopedic care would not be where it is today. Their legacy continues to shape our commitment to inclusive, high-quality orthopedic care.
