I’ve learned from my own experiences that food truly is our first medicine — especially when it comes to calming and supporting the nervous system. When my body wasn’t nourished properly, I felt stuck in a state of constant “fight or flight,” unable to relax and truly rest.
That’s why I focus on eating nutrient-dense, calming foods like berries, walnuts, sweet potatoes, citrus, Greek yogurt, and grass-fed beef. These foods provide essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and healthy fats that help soothe inflammation, stabilize blood sugar, and support the nervous system’s shift into “rest and digest.”
Nourishing your body well isn’t just about physical health — it’s about creating the foundation your mind and nervous system need to feel safe, calm, and regulated.
