Sorry I haven’t been over here to update on my progress…

Please be nice … I haven’t been feeling my best, so I’ve been struggling … as for me the healing progress has been the hardest part for me. I’m nauseous 24/7 so I have to force myself to take anything in. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. I had surgery February 13 and I’ve kept everything a secret!!!

I have completed all my exams I had to do which included a clearance from a psychiatrist, a cardiologist and my primary care dr …. I had my pre op today and I have lost 17 lbs already… I’m so excited to have this procedure…. My dr said recovery is anywhere from 2-4 weeks … I don’t have a date yet they are waiting for my approval from my insurance which could take 2 weeks. We are looking at sometime in February…. I finally found a protein shake I finally like. It’s so weird because I’m not a big chocolate person. It doesn’t even have the after taste of protein. I visit it from Walmart but you can only but it individually but I have found them as Costco and Amazon. You can actually buy them but the case it’s cheaper that way.

As of October 3rd I had my last appointment with my dietitian. Everything is good with her. Ands as of October 4th I had my initial appointment with my cardiologist and he said as of now he doesn’t see a reason why he can’t approve me for surgery. October 18th I have my appointment for my psychologist and hopefully he will clear me from that and October 26 I will have my stress test. Once these exams are done and approved I will be able to schedule my surgery. I am trying to take more full body pictures that way I have something to compare to. Please be nice. I suffer from body dysmorphia

June 15th I had my 3rd visit with my dietitian… that means I’m half way there to my surgery … my main focus right now is finding a protein that I like … I started working out … nothing strenuous.. I try to work out 3x a week … my dietitian said I only need to work 1x but I feel like that isn’t going to do anything for me … here are 2 most recent full body pictures ….

May 2nd @ 3pm I will have my endoscopy (EGD) … it will be out patient.. this marks another check✔️ mark on my list …. Before you know it I will be have surgery … thank you everyone who has and is supporting me thru this journey!!!!

#1 question I get asked a lot is what is the diet plan I need to be on and if it’s hard to stick to it … as of now I don’t have to be on any diet plan or supplements but I have started to start changing eating patters and taking certain supplements just to get my body ready for this big change .. I keep telling myself it’s not a diet just a healthier way or living and eating. So as of today 4/4/23 this is what I have bought to start this journey…

Supplements:

Multivitamins
Calcium Citrate 500mg
Liquid IV Hydration

Protein:

Isopure Whey Protein

On March 31, 2023 I had my consultation for a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG) aka Gastric Sleeve Surgery. GREAT NEWS!!! I’m a great candidate, so now we start the process… What does that consist of you ask??? Here is a list of everything I need to do before I can schedule surgery.

1) Initial visit with the surgeon
2) 6 visits with a dietitian 1x monthly
3) Upper GI endoscopy aka EGD
4 Cardiologist
5)Psychological Evaluation
6) Pre-Op
7) Surgery!!!!!!
