Simple, comforting, and made with love—just like home 💙 Recipe below 👇 • ingredients: FOR THE CHICKEN YIRO - 2lb or as my as you want chicken thighs ( boneless & skinless) - salt & pepper - 1tbsp oregano - 1/3 of a cup mustard - 2 crushed garlic cloves - lemon juice from a whole lemon - 1/3 of a cup olive oil FOR THE SAUCE -2 cups mayo - lemon juice from 1/2 a lemon -1-2 garlic cloves crushed -1/3 of a cup yellow mustard - a little drizzle of olive oil (optional) • instructions: - add the chicken thighs into a bowl or a ziplock and add all the ingredients together, mix very well and let rest for 30 minutes! - into a preheated skillet add the chicken thighs and cook for about 10 mins max each side ( if the skillet is over heated reduce the heat to medium) - when is ready transfer into a bowl and let rest for 10 mins ( meanwhile cut and slice tomatoes, onions and parsley as garnish and place them over the platter. - cut the chicken thighs into thin slices like the yiro , and place them over the platter - For the sauce add into a bowl all the ingredients and mix until you have a pale yellow sauce and place it over the platter. - last heat the pita bread with some olive oil and fry the home fries and place them over the platter along with tzatziki and some marouli ( lettuce, optional) and whatever else you like - lastly pilot together the pitoyiro by adding over a pita bread some sauce or tzatziki, tomato, onion, potatoes & paprika is the secret ingredient!
