As April winds down, we want to give a shout out to celebrate . Occupational Therapists are trained in helping our friends work on fine motor skills, self-help and feeding independence, and sensory processing regulation.
Clockwise starting on the left: Ashley shows off a wedge seat, helpful for positioning and body awareness while seated; Sarah demonstrates the many ways we can get creative by combining the rock wall with fine motor games; Jess models a sensory suit, which reinforces body input during play; Sabrina highlights how simple toys can be creatively used as motivational items in therapy; and Tony holds Ned's Head, a silly game working on identifying objects hidden inside by touch, without looking.
