I’ve been MIA here lately — not because I don’t care, but because life sat me down and said “you will rest, one way or another.”
September is a tender time for me, and this year it caught up with me in ways I couldn’t just “push through.” The combination of stress, anxiety, and illness reminded me that our bodies keep the score… and they will make us slow down if we don’t listen.
So I stepped back. From social media. From work. From trying to keep up.
If you’ve ever hit that point where your body forces the shutdown you kept avoiding — I see you. It’s a brutal but real reminder: caring for your mental and physical health isn’t optional. If you’re also carrying trauma, stress, or exhaustion, you’re not alone. Rest isn’t weakness. Sometimes it’s the only way forward.
