The term Microblading has become very popular in the recent years thanks to school media. Unfortunately, it has become a blanket term for all types of brow permanent makeup. I'm reality, there are actually more than 50 current eyebrow techniques that your technician can be trained in. Goddess Permanent Makeup offers Digital Microblading as the most current and desired service for hairstrokes.

So what's the difference between Digital Microblading and Microblading? Both techniques can achieve similar results but with just a few differences. Digital Microblading uses a machine while Microblading uses a handheld tool. Digital Microblading tends to be a more precise procedure and lasts longer than Microblading. You will need a Microblading retouch every year while Digital Microblading lasts an average of 3-6 years. Results have shown that yearly touch-ups and the Microblading pigment implantation technique can cause a buildup of scar tissue over years.

Microblading, like the long time Soft Tap method, uses a handheld tool to implant pigment into the skin. A grouping of fine needles are used to slice hair strokes into the skin to mimic realistic hair. Digital Microblading is a cosmetic procedure in which the technician will use a handheld machine and single needle to tattoo individual hair strokes to mimic the natural look of your preferred brow shape. Multiple pigment colors can be used for either procedure to give it you a natural multi-layered result.

Some will argue that Microblading looks more natural than the Digital Microblading technique but that is not true. A professional experienced technician like the ones you would find at Goddess Permanent Makeup would be able to do this procedure with nearly identical results. The great thing about Digital Microblading is it's a tried and true method, that has been perfected by leaders in the industry for decades! The choice is always up to you, and we are here for you if you have any questions or concerns about either of these procedures.
