Summer is wrapping up quickly but we wanted to make sure we got one last event in before fall hits.

Please join us for the CMIA - San Joaquin Valley Chapter meeting this September!

We will be sponsoring the event along with Advanced Ultrasound Systems and Pulse Biomedical Service for a wonderful night of food, education and networking.

AUS will be giving an educational presentation of Ultrasound equipment. We are thrilled to be able to sharpen our knowledge with all of you.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to host the current Biomedical Equipment Technology cohort from MiraCosta College.

This tradition has become one of our favorite ways to celebrate and give back to the HTM community. It is such a great opportunity to connect with students who share our passion about healthcare tech and its impact in the field. Providing real-world exposure and a behind-the-scenes look into our operations is one small way we contribute to their journey.

We continue our celebration of HTM week with our final spotlight of Kyle Johnson!

KJ is our CBET and Inventory Control Specialist and boasts an impressive 9+ years with ZRG Medical. Over his time with us he has developed a strong expertise that covers everything from patient monitoring systems to imaging equipment. KJ has excelled with precision, patience and a thorough approach to every challenge.

His favorite part of the job? Troubleshooting. Whether it’s a hardware issue or a calibration glitch, there is no issue too large. KJ thrives on solving problems and putting his skills to the test.

As HTM Week continues, we’re shining the spotlight on Doug Schneider Schneider, a rising star at ZRG Medical Medical.

Doug joined us through the MiraCosta College Biomed Program, completed his internship at ZRG, and over his three years here, has become a valued team member. He’s now hands-on in all aspects of our equipment service — from testing and troubleshooting to repairs and quality checks.

Doug is a member of the California Medical Instrumentation Association regularly attends meetings. He is passionate about learning, growing, and contributing to the HTM community. Whether he’s working on infusion pumps or patient monitors, Doug brings consistency, precision, and a team-first attitude.

We’re lucky to have Doug on board — and we can’t wait to see where his HTM journey takes him.

This HTM Week, we wanted to spotlight our biomed team and show them a little love.


Today we want to introduce you to the newest addition to our biomed team, Selena Mancias.

Selena joined ZRG Medical after graduating from the MiraCosta College Technology Career Institute and began as an intern. Since then, she’s grown into a skilled biomed known for her curiosity, focus, and love of a challenge.

We asked Selena a few questions that will help you get to know her better.

How long have you been with ZRG?:
1 year and 4 months

What does your typical day at work look like?:
A typical workday for me as a biomedical equipment technician is a mix of hands-on technical work, problem-solving, reading up on manuals and some collaborating with other biomeds.

What type of education did you receive for this position? Any internship?:
MiraCosta College Technology Career Institute, interned here with ZRG.

What is your favorite part or what you like most about your job?
When I get to work on new equipment that are challenging to fix.

Do you have a favorite type of equipment to work on? If so, what is it?:
Probably Ultrasounds

Are you a part of any biomed associations? If so, how regularly do you attend meetings?:
I joined the Women in leadership Society group, I have only attended one of their meetings at the MD Expo, so far and it was outstanding.
