During May’s Speech-Language & Hearing Month and June’s Dysphagia Awareness Month, we’re especially grateful for the expertise our SLPs bring to every session. These months are a perfect opportunity to raise awareness about swallowing disorders & about the important role speech language pathologists can play in treating dysphagia. Miss Patty, Miss Christine & Miss Lauren at the Race for Autism Superhero 5k this morning!! 🤍🦸‍♀️

From the NFAR (): “1 in every 36 children are autistic in the US today.

To help, the money raised by the Race for Autism stays in San Diego to increase opportunities for autistic individuals by funding initiatives in areas of early identification, education, social skills training, vocational programs for teens and young adults, parent support, employer training, enrichment programs, and DEI initiatives. The Race also funds Teacher’s grants providing educational programs and materials to classrooms throughout San Diego each year.

This family friendly event is a great way for those with a heart for autism to help raise awareness, acceptance and funding to improve inclusive and equitable opportunities for autistic individuals.”
