Tashie’s WLS journey

Tashie’s WLS journey Go along with me as I begin the journey after Gastric Bypass

02/19/2025

Been a while since I’ve been on this page bc I pretty much just share everything on my personal page but I had my 3 yr follow up (few months early) and am down a total of 204 lbs. We discussed skin removal surgery so I have that option now. I also asked them if all these kidney stones could be related to having bypass but they didn’t think so. So I’m gonna lean towards genetics since so many in my family have problems with them. Thanks fam 🤦🏼‍♀️ jk😂 I’m now waiting on surgery scheduling to call and set up shocking or lithotripsy for this dang stone. Probably won’t update here anymore since I’m so far out and I’m an open book so everyone knows they can ask whatever. But wanted to do this update and say Thank You again to everyone for prayers and support you’ve given me through this journey. It sure ain’t over but I know I wouldn’t have made it this far without the love, support and prayers from all of my family and friends ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Haven’t updated in a while so here ya go. I am a little over 6 months post op and had my appointment with surgeon last week for check up and blood work. I was nervous bc I will be honest I haven’t stayed on top of my vitamins like I should be but I’m trying and doing better. All of my levels came back in normal range and he is happy with all the levels. My A1C went from 8.6 before surgery down to 4.7!!!!! I am down 101 lbs since surgery 6/28/22 and 161 lbs from my highest weight which was in June 2021. I am losing hair more than I want but that’s just part of the process. I feel so much better and have more energy and can already do more than I was able to do. I’m so happy I made this decision and thank God for allowing it to happen and to help me through it! Thank you for your support ❤️❤️❤️

Today was my 3 month Post Op appointment. Crazy that it has already been 3 months. Everything is going good and Dr Cronk was happy with where I am currently. Down 59 lbs since surgery day. I asked him about food being tolerable one day and not the next, he says it is annoying but perfectly normal and should get better. Go back in January for 6 month visit and bloodwork for Vitamin and Protein checks.

I know I haven’t updated but didn’t want to post too much and people get tired of hearing about it.

So today was my 6 week visit with the nutritionist. I was so worried about not losing enough over the last 6 weeks since surgery but she told me my loss was above average so that made me feel better. I’m down 28.7 lbs since surgery day. Today I was released from all restrictions. I am now released for exercise and for solid foods. I still feel like my weight loss is being slower than others I’ve seen so it worries me that I’m not doing something right but for now I’m gonna try to not worry about it and focus on the plan. Thank you all for your support and love!!! ❤️
