🐾 Vet Fact You Might Not Know! 🐾

Did you know dogs have three eyelids? 👀🐶
The third lid, called the nictitating membrane, helps protect the eye and keep it moist. It’s not just a weird extra flap—it’s essential for healthy vision!

👉 If you notice this lid looking swollen, red, or sticking out, it could be a sign of an infection or “cherry eye,” so be sure to call your vet.

Healthy eyes = happy adventures! 🐕💙

🐾 Vet Fact You Might Not Know! 🐾

Did you know dogs have sweat glands only in their paw pads? 🐾💦
That’s why on a hot day you might see little damp paw prints on the floor—it’s their way of cooling down!

👉 Since paws don’t release much heat, dogs mostly regulate their temperature by panting. That’s why it’s so important to keep them cool, hydrated, and out of the heat. ☀️🐶

Keep an eye out for signs of overheating like heavy panting, drooling, or lethargy—and always provide fresh water! 🥤🐕

🐾 Vet Fact You Might Not Know! 🐾

Did you know dogs can actually get sunburns? ☀️🐶
Just like us, pups with light-colored fur or thin coats are more at risk. Their noses, ears, and bellies are especially sensitive to the sun.

👉 Protect your pup by limiting sun exposure during peak hours.

Keeping your furry friend protected means more safe fun in the sun! 🐾🌞

🐾 Vet Fact You Might Not Know! 🐾

Did you know dogs have up to 300 million scent receptors in their noses? 👃🐶
That’s about 50 times more than humans! While we might catch a faint whiff of dinner, your dog can detect tiny scent particles—even from miles away.

👉 Fun Example: Dogs can smell a teaspoon of sugar in an Olympic-sized swimming pool! 🏊‍♂️🍬

🐕 Bonus Fact: Dogs actually have a special organ (the Jacobson’s organ, just like cats!) that helps them detect pheromones—kind of like their built-in “social media feed” for other animals.

No wonder your pup’s nose is always to the ground—they’re reading the world one sniff at a time! 🐾👃✨

🐱 CAT ZITS?! Yes, it’s a thing! 🐾

Ever noticed black specks or bumps on your cat’s chin that look like dirt or little scabs? Surprise! Your kitty might be dealing with feline acne — basically, cat zits. 😼💥

It’s more common than you think and can be caused by:
🧼 Dirty food bowls (especially plastic!)
😿 Stress
🧬 Hormones or skin sensitivity

💡 What to do:
✔ Switch to stainless steel or ceramic bowls
✔ Keep feeding areas squeaky clean
✔ Ask us about safe treatments (no picking, please!)

If your cat’s chin looks bumpy, crusty, or sore — give us a call! We’ll help get that kitty complexion cleared up. 🧴💖

🚑 Stuffed Animal ICU: Code Chew Alert! 🐶🧸

This brave little orca came in after a ruff encounter with a canine chomp monster 🐾🦷

Vitals were unstable—stuffing was everywhere, flipper slightly droopy, and the eye? Hanging on by a thread. But thanks to some emergency fluids and expert patchwork, we’ve stabilized him with bandages, love, and just a splash of drama 💧✨

Diagnosis: Shark impersonation gone wrong
Prognosis: Full recovery with emotional support cuddles 🖤

Remember, folks—chew toy or not, every plush deserves a fighting chance!
When giving your dogs toys please remember to give them toy designed dogs, stuffing can cause a serious issue to furbabies. We always want to keep our four legged companion safe and secure.
