"Even a trip to the supermarket involved a stealth black bag filled with fresh underwear and a diaper, along with hospital-sized bath wipes," she says.

Amy isn't alone. The embarrassing condition affects about 8% of the adult population in the U.S. The help Amy didn't expect came from Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute's Gastrointestinal Motility Center.

We’re celebrating the 1st anniversary of Orlando Health Emergency Room - Longwood! Over the past year, our team has been honored to provide 24/7 emergency care to the Longwood community.

While this facility is new, our commitment to Seminole County spans more than 40 years. Many of our team members have served this community for 15 to 20 years, bringing compassion and expertise to every patient.

From painting murals with Orange County Public Schools students to supporting Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida families and fighting food insecurity with U.S. Hunger, we got to work giving back to the communities we’re proud to serve.

April marks National Donate Life Month, a time to recognize the lifesaving impact of organ, eye and tissue donation. 🧡

At Orlando Health South Lake Hospital, a recent flag-raising ceremony honored the generosity of donors and their families, whose selfless decisions bring hope and healing to others.

During the ceremony, AnnMarie shared the story of her son, Chadale Jordan-Michael Grey, affectionately known as “CJ.” He was described as a respectful young man who loved music, sang on the youth praise team, and wrote and performed his own songs.

When CJ passed away at the age of 22, AnnMarie made the courageous decision to honor his life of caring for others by giving the Gift of Life. Through organ donation, CJ saved and healed four lives, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity.

AnnMarie continues to share CJ’s story in the community, helping other families understand the profound impact of organ donation and the powerful legacy of hope and healing it can create in the midst of loss.

Putting our emergency readiness to the test! 💪🚑

Orlando Health completed a regional full-scale hospital mass casualty drill in compliance with CMS, The Joint Commission and Florida AHCA requirements. The exercise involved hospitals, free-standing ERs, physician offices, ambulatory sites and other facilities across Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Brevard, Indian River and Pinellas counties.

With a large-scale, real-time emergency scenario, this exercise strengthens our ability to respond quickly and effectively when every second counts.
