For patients facing carotid artery disease, the risk of stroke can be life altering. TransCarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) is a minimally invasive procedure that helps reduce that risk of stroke by treating blockages in the carotid artery while protecting blood flow to the brain throughout the procedure.

Through skill, consistency, and a deep commitment to patient care, Dr. Roger Moccia and Dr. Irfan Imami performed their 250th TCAR procedure. Each procedure represents a patient who placed their trust in these physicians and a life impacted by advanced vascular care.

The surgeons recently joined Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute in Clermont, located on the campus of Orlando Health South Lake Hospital, to provide specialized care to residents of Lake County.

For most of his life, Mike lived with essential tremor. Today, he is regaining control of his hand and everyday activities thanks to a groundbreaking, incision-free treatment at Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute.
