A dream come true for Ernie!👨‍🌾

As a part of our Mosaic Dreams program, Ernie was able to return to a place that holds a special piece of his heart—his family farm in Mosinee. Surrounded by loved ones and familiar fields, he enjoyed a day filled with laughter, memories, and even a sweet treat from Briq’s Soft Serve before heading home. Moments like these remind us how powerful a dream fulfilled can truly be!

As June and Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month comes to an end, Azura Memory Care & Assisted Living President, Jill Kreider, joined on Wisconsin’s Afternoon News to discuss the importance of education, support, and self-care in the face of Alzheimer’s disease.

“It is not only hard for people with the disease, but it’s also very hard for caregivers,” Jill shared. “So I always say take care of yourself first. Do things that bring you joy still, and don’t lose yourself while trying to care for your loved one.”

With more than 55 million people living with dementia globally, and two-thirds of Americans at risk, awareness and action have never been more important. Love your brain!

To our families and friends at Azura of Oconomowoc,

It is with a heavy, but grateful heart that we share the news about the future of Azura of Oconomowoc; it will be taken over by Health Dimensions Group. Due to this change, this page will be shut down on Thursday, May 1st. Azura Memory Care and Assisted Living will continue to own and operate our communities in Brookfield, Fox Point, Oak Creek, and Verona. We are also excited to be opening a new community in Mukwonago later this summer. Additionally, we will be adding Azura Palliative and Hospice Care to our family of services for our residents this month.

Thank you for entrusting us with your loved ones care over the past 15 years. Your faith in us has been the foundation of everything we do, and we are grateful for the memories and relationships we have built together.

A Dream Come True for Patrick!

What would your best day ever be? Would it be a day on the golf greens, meeting your favorite celebrity or sitting poolside? Azura Memory Care and Assisted Living asks every resident this very question, and connects with local businesses and people to make their dreams come true - this program is known as the MOSAIC Dreams program. In the years that the MOSAIC Dreams program has been around, Azura has had a resident dance at the halftime show with the Milwaukee Bucks Grand Dancers, fly in an airplane and a helicopter, golf with a world champ, and more!

Patrick, a resident at Azura of Oconomowoc, and his wife, Roxanna, are the perfect example of a true love story. After Patrick was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s, Roxanna has never left his side and has tried to keep life as normal as possible for Patrick and their family. Due to Patrick’s diagnosis, they had not been able to enjoy a true date night in years—but this special MOSAIC dream changed that. The Azura team made sure Patrick had a new outfit, ordered a fancy meal and gifted Roxanna a bracelet with their birthstones in it.

Hand in hand, they shared laughter, memories, and the simple yet profound beauty of being together. Roxanna and Patrick’s MOSAIC Dream was an afternoon filled with love, nostalgia, and cherished moments. It was more than just a date; it was a reminder that love endures, even when words and time begin to fade.
