Meet Stanley!

Stanley is the newest member of our team at the Prescription Center! He is a 5-month-old Cockapoo that loves to spend time at the pharmacy. Stanley is super social and loves to meet new people (even at the vet and his groomer)! One of Stanley’s favorite things to do is hide his treats from the FedEx driver and play treasure hunt with them later. Stanley also loves to play fetch and he’s slowly starting to get the hang of bringing the ball back after he runs to it. Stop in and say hi to Stanley!

Remembering Pepper

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our deeply loved friend, Pepper. Pepper Eichstaedt crossed the rainbow bridge on July 18th surrounded by her family. Born November 30th, 2013, Pepper was adopted by Dave, Maggie and their children in January of the following year.
Pepper loved swimming, hiking, and lounging around with her future brother-in-law, but above all else she loved shadowing her dad and best-friend, Dave. She was a pro waterski spotter, barking and running to the end of the boat until the skier came in, sometimes jumping off the platform and swimming to her dad in the water. She liked to sit in the tree stand with her dad, always spotting the deer first and then usually blowing their cover with her low “woof.” Pepper loved coming to work where she knew she’d always get a few extra treats from her favorite visitors.
We will miss always having to bring an extra glove on walks and might have to work on our portion control since she always got more than a couple bites of everyone’s meal. We want to thank Casserly Veterinary Services for their care and compassion on Pepper’s final day.

Meet Patrick!

Patrick Tierney, PharmD is honored to join the staff at Prescription Center Pharmacy. A graduate of Concordia University, Patrick began his career at a retail chain as a pharmacy manager. Transitioning to an independent pharmacy has allowed Patrick to focus on what he believes is the most important part of being a pharmacist - providing a highly personalized patient experience while ensuring patient safety with appropriate medication(s). Patrick lives in Oconomowoc with his wife and two young children. When not at the pharmacy, you can find him with his family, buried in professional sports, playing tennis, or riding the bike.

We are a small independent pharmacy. Our clientele appreciates our friendly, personal and fast service. The number one part of your job is customer service. Here is a brief list of job expectations:

• Wait on customers.
o Greet customers when they come in and ask how you may assist them.
- Waiting on customers/ ringing out on register
• Answer the phone.
• Counting prescriptions.
Other jobs may include:
• Stocking shelves.
• Taking the garbage out.

What we look for in Pharmacy clerks/technician:
• Great communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Willing to learn.

Happy Holidays from The Prescription Center

We wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season! It is still important to exercise some precautions while celebrating with family and loved ones this year, especially when around older or vulnerable relatives. If you aren’t feeling well before a gathering, it is best to stay home and rest to avoid getting others sick. You could also consider getting tested prior to an event or even wear a mask for extra precaution.

Just a reminder, our holiday hours are as follows:
12/24 (Christmas Eve): 9am to 1pm
12/25 (Christmas Day): Closed
12/31 (New Year’s Eve): 9am to 1pm
1/1 (New Year’s Day): Closed

The Prescription Center Pharmacy – A community establishment

The Prescription Center Pharmacy has prided itself in personalized, community-oriented service for over 40 years. The founder of the Prescription Center Pharmacy, Bob Dixon, recently passed away on November 20, 2021. Bob founded the Prescription Center Pharmacy in 1978 and it soon became the first drive-thru pharmacy in Waukesha County.
Dave began working at the Prescription Center Pharmacy in 1985 and purchased the pharmacy from Bob in 1999. Like Bob, Dave continued to operate the pharmacy as an independent, family-run business that is devoted to bettering the community. Dave is thankful for the many opportunities offered by Bob and the profound impact he has had on his life. Dave enjoyed being able to work for and learn from Bob during the early stages of his career.

o Most often it is customers calling in a refill request which you will make a note of. Other times it may be a doctor’s office in which case the phone will be handed off to a pharmacist.
• Counting prescriptions.
