We are so excited to welcome Chrissie Hodges, MS, CPFS as the facilitator for our 2025 x OCD GamechangersCommunity Event! 🎤✨Chrissie is a global leader in OCD peer support and advocacy, and one of the most trusted voices speaking openly about taboo intrusive thoughts and Pure OCD. Her voice has been a lifeline to thousands of people worldwide—and we are deeply honored she’ll be guiding our event.👇 Read her full bio:
I’m Chrissie Hodges, the founder and Executive Director of . I’m a Certified Peer Support Specialist with a Master’s in Psychology, and I co-founded Peer Recovery Services, where we manage a government contract overseeing Peer Support Specialists in the Colorado State Mental Institutes. I’m also the author of Pure OCD and advocate known for my YouTube videos on Pure OCD. For over a decade, I’ve dedicated my life to supporting individuals living with OCD, especially those navigating the dark, isolating corners of taboo intrusive thoughts and Pure OCD. I know firsthand how tormenting and lonely this disorder can feel, even after diagnosis and treatment.

My mission is simple but powerful: no one should have to face OCD alone. I create spaces — online and in person — where people with OCD can feel seen, heard, and understood. Through all of my work, I help people connect with others who truly get it. Because when we hear our story in someone else’s voice, the shame starts to fade. And in its place, we grow self-compassion, empowerment, and hope.

Alie Ward recently released two episodes of Ologies focused on OCD, featuring IOCDF Co-Founder Wayne Goodman, MD, and OCD Wisconsin President Uma Chatterjee, MS, MHPS.

In a powerful moment, Dr. Goodman describes a part of OCD that is often misunderstood: people with OCD know their thoughts are irrational — and yet, they still feel intense anxiety and the need to act on them.

"That’s what really struck me — the paradox between the irrationality of the thoughts, the excessiveness of the behaviors, and totally preserved insight and executive functioning." — Wayne Goodman, MD
