Many people think forward bends are just for flexibility, but they can also help stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system — supporting relaxation and regulation. Adding a strap creates more support, allowing the body to soften and settle more fully into the pose.

Then the release comes… ahhh.

The belly softens as the hip bones settle into gravity, and the breath naturally begins to slow. Without trying, the exhale gently lengthens on its own.

A longer exhale is often a sign the nervous system is shifting from fight-or-flight into rest-and-digest. Follow me for more nervous system resilience practices.
