Thank you for being part of MEDITATION MONDAY! Every Monday, let's take a moment to uplift each other through meditation and prayer. Whether you have five minutes or just a brief moment, your thoughts and intentions can make a profound difference. Set an intention, say a prayer for someone in need, or send love to everyone around you. Don't forget to acknowledge yourself for showing up. If this is a challenging time, take a few minutes whenever you can. Thank you in advance for your participation! I'm deeply grateful ππΌππΎππΏπ
Each week at the end of the meditation video, I feature a missing person to help those seeking a loved one.
Tonight we honor: Maria Isabel Elizalde
Maria Isabel Elizalde, just 15, has been missing from Dallas, Texas since November 25th, 2015. She was last seen in her family's front yard and hasn't been heard from since her disappearance. What happened to young Maria Isabel Elizalde?
On Thanksgiving night Maria and her family were getting ready for dinner when Maria and her two sisters asked if they could go outside to play with the neighbor children. The children left their home in the 4700 block of Philip Avenue in east Dallas between 7:30 pm and 8 pm. Maria's stepfather saw all three girls in the yard at 9 pm but just a few minutes later when Maria's mother, Kathleen Rodriguez, called for the girls to come in only Maria's two sisters returned. Maria hasn't been seen since. Maria had dark brown hair with blue tips at the time, hazel eyes and a scar through her right eyebrow. She is Indigenous. Maria was 5'0 and 140 lbs when last seen. She was wearing jeans and a sweater. She did not have any money with her or a coat. Maria is listed as # MP33943 in NaMus and there is currently one exclusion.
Maria was born May 11th, 2000 and spent the majority of her life in Mexico after her paternal grandmother took her and refused Kathleen any contact. In 2014 Maria was returned to Kathleen's custody after Maria was allegedly sexually abused by a relative in Mexico. Because of her recent situation Maria could act out occasionally, having run away once previously, but only for a few hours. Maria is described as a naive and trusting girl. Her mother is devastated and continues to search for Maria. She is deeply missed by her family.
Please call the Dallas PD at 214-671-4268 with any information in the disappearance of Indigenous teen Maria Isabel Elizalde. Let's bring her home.
