Pelvic floor tension is commonly overlooked. Most people go straight to the mindset of strengthening if they are experiencing issues, but that is not always the solution. In many cases strengthen can make symptoms worse if your pelvic floor is already l holding tension. Stretching, deep breathing, checking in with your body throughout the day to soften clenched muscles, and release work are just a few ways to help decrease pelvic floor tension.

Happy World Health Day! Now stop and take a minute to check in with your body. Soften your jaw, relax your shoulders, and unclench your glutes. Your pelvic floor thanks you for your reset. This is something that I try to do multiple times a day to help decrease tension in my body that can impact my pelvic health.
