Meet Micaela! She is one of our current students who has a personal connection to physical therapy. Under Emily's guidance, Micaela is learning how to help and treat patients the same way she was helped all those years ago. We are honored to be a part of her journey as she continues to grow.

Meet Marie! She is our next student who is nearing the end of her rotation here at PBRC. Under Paula’s guidance, Marie has been learning how our licensed physical therapists operate and provide care. During her time with us, she has also had the opportunity to collaborate with other departments and staff, giving her a broader look at how all our teams work together to deliver the best care possible.
We are so thrilled to have been a part of her journey and are excited to see what she will do next.

Meet Alyssa, our Development Intern here at PBRC! She is the very first intern to join our Development team, and we are thrilled to have her with us. During her time here, Alyssa will gain hands‑on experience in how a nonprofit operates and fundraises, giving her valuable insight she can carry forward as she grows in her career and professional development.

To celebrate Valentine's Day, we are giving our students a heartfelt shout out!
Meet Kaitlyn! She is our newest student joining us this Spring. We wanted to give her a special shout out since today is her very first day! Kaitlyn is currently training under Pat and will be under his supervision for the next 6 weeks.
As with all our students, she will be under the guidance of our licensed therapists where she will learn how to evaluate and treat patients. We are grateful to each student for allowing us at PBRC to be part of their journey as they continue to grow in their learning and professional development.

February 2-8 is Tinnitus Awareness Week! Tinnitus affects around 15% of people - that's over 1 billion people worldwide! Commonly known as "ringing in the ears," Tinnitus can include sounds like buzzing, whooshing, and more.
If you or a loved one is experiencing Tinnitus, our Audiology team can help evaluate and provide treatment options.

Today, February 4th, is World Cancer Day. To honor cancer warriors, some of our wonderful staff wore pink for breast cancer awareness! These amazing women, who did not coordinate colors, show us that we are all in this fight together. The Permian Basin Reability Center stands united in the continued fight against cancer.

After having his stroke, Genaro has struggled to speak. With speech therapy, this will help Genaro learn how to be able to communicate in a new way with his loved ones.

Who said physcial therapy can't be fun? With Pat's help, Faith is learning how to use a TRIAID bike. This activity is a fun way to help Faith increase her mobility, and learn how to maintain her strength and balance as she grows older.
