Please welcome our newest team member, Linda Ealy who is currently taking new clients and providing two children's groups (anxiety and social skills).
Linda is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Grand Canyon University with an emphasis in Childhood and Adolescent disorders. She is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and sees children at our farm location, utilizing the resources in nature to help young children meet their treatment goals. Her knowledge of camping, outdoor education, early childhood experience and early elementary instruction merge in an envirotherapy approach, a type of psychotherapy that involves being outdoors and immersed in nature. For example, one session may be spent learning coping skills to control anxiety during a nature walk, or one session may be focused on improving listening skills while planting flowers.
Her love for children and nature is combined with her creative, holistic approach to mental health. She believes that the thoughtful exposure of children to nature is a powerful tool for therapy and a means of restoring their souls. Her young clients are supported through auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning experiences. She considers each new day as an opportunity for growth and that problems are simply challenges which make us stronger.
She specializes in children 8 and younger who are struggling with ADHD, anger management, anxiety, and depression. Linda also treats children on the spectrum, and provides parenting skills training. In addition, Linda also provides grief therapy for women who have experienced a miscarriage.
If you would like to get scheduled with Linda, please contact our office by phone (302) 279-6491 or email at [email protected]

Resilient Kids is proud to announce our new Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) program, a unique and groundbreaking model, used around the country as a dynamic, powerful tool in mental health therapy. Learn new life lessons, find healing from traumas, or develop new relationship skills, while enjoying the relaxed environment of horses.
Through Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, the focus is not horsemanship or horseback riding, but rather a safe place for the client and therapist to engage in activities with a horse or horses, and use the horse(s) to help process feelings, thoughts and reactions. Therapy goals combined with experiences with the horses allow the participant to explore, problem solve, and discover strengths while working with their therapist.
Studies show that Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy has been helpful for clients in the following areas: assertiveness, emotional awareness, empathy, frustration/stress tolerance, flexibility, impulse control, problem-solving skills, self-actualization, independence, self-regard, social responsibility, interpersonal relationships, grief/loss, ADD/ADHD, anxiety/depression, and trauma.
Please visit our website for more information about EAP and how to get started!

Resilient Kids Child & Family Therapy is happy to introduce our new therapist, Shelby Jackson!
Shelby is a native of Delaware who has lived here her entire life. Shelby attended the University of Delaware and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2016 and her master’s degree from Wilmington University in 2019.
Shelby is focused on treating her clients using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach (CBT) as well as Goal Oriented Therapy. While she does not feel putting a timeline on therapy is necessary, using the goal-oriented method can allow the client to see small, measurable successes in therapy as larger steps towards their overall goal. Additionally, Shelby provides Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP).
In her free time, Shelby enjoys traveling internationally and spending time with her family and horses. Shelby is an avid animal lover and has 4 dogs, 2 cats and 2 horses. Shelby has been riding horses since she was 7 and has a passion for combining her love for horses and their place in therapy.

Please help us welcome our newest therapist, Shelly! She is currently accepting new clients -- both children, adolescents and adults.
Shelly G. Prasad attended Wilmington University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in behavioral Science. She also obtained her Master’s in Social Work degree from Delaware State University. Shelly is a licensed Master of Social Worker, certified Child Advocate, and Life Coach.
My goal of being a therapist is to help individuals in need to improve the quality of their lives and their well-being. Each person is unique. I believe we all experience our own unique set of events that affect our emotional, mental and sexual well-being. Our upbringing, our relationships, and unfortunately our trauma affects how we see ourselves and how we interact in this world. My approach is to help you gain understanding, discover your best self and begin healing.
My method to therapy is to be mindful of the individual and what they may need. Problems are part of our everyday challenges like financial, behavioral, health, and social issues. I use evidence-informed approaches and interventions to service clients, based on each client's individual needs such as:
Trauma and PTSD
ADHD / ADD
Addiction
Behavioral Issues
Divorce
Domestic Abuse / Violence
Eating Disorders
Emotional Disturbance
Family Conflict
Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD)
School Issues
Self Esteem
Self-Harming
Sexual Abuse
Suicidal Ideation
One key I use to effectively understand those issues within a client is to listen to the context of the client. Sometimes the greatest gift you can give to anyone is your time, kindness, understanding and empathy.
