From boots on the ground to celebrating bright young minds—what a day with YPO!

We kicked things off with the Basin Beautification Project, rolling up our sleeves for a community trash pickup and doing our part to keep our home looking its best. There’s something powerful about showing up and putting in the work together.

Then we shifted gears to the National Civics Bee, where we got to witness some truly inspiring students showcase their knowledge, passion, and commitment to the future of our community.

Days like today are what it’s all about—service, leadership, and investing in what’s next. Proud to be part of an organization that shows up in so many meaningful ways. 💙

Young Professionals of Odessa had the distinct honor of attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Ector County Youth Center. This is an exciting step forward for our community’s future. This space represents more than just a building; it is an investment in opportunity, growth, and the next generation of leaders.

We are especially excited to share that YPO will be hosting an upcoming event to help raise funds for essential equipment needed within the center. It is a chance to come together, give back, and play a direct role in shaping a space that will serve and empower local youth for years to come.

At YPO, we’re all about supporting the people who are shaping the future of our community—and that starts in the classroom 👏

Joshua Hardt is currently competing in America’s Favorite Teacher, where the winner receives $25,000, a trip to Hawaii, and a feature in Reader’s Digest. He’s currently ranked #5 in his group, and with the support of our community, he has a real shot at climbing to the top!

Joshua is more than just a teacher—he’s passionate about helping students think critically, understand the world around them, and stay curious. Whether he’s breaking down complex science concepts or sparking those “aha” moments in the classroom, he’s making a lasting impact on the next generation right here in our community.

As young professionals, we know how important it is to invest in the future—and educators like Joshua are a huge part of that. Outside of the classroom, he’s also balancing life as a father, husband, and PhD student, continuing to grow while pouring into others every single day.

You can vote once a day for FREE, and every vote helps push him closer to the top 🙌
