Last week, the TTUHSC Division of Rural Affairs hosted the TTUHSC One Team Fellows in the Big Bend region. The Fellows heard directly from community leaders about the challenges, as well as opportunities, that are the reality of rural health care.

The group engaged with a panel of regional partners, toured Big Bend Regional Medical Center, and visited the jointly run TTUHSC–Texas A&M Davis Mountains Medical Clinic. The goal of the visit was to showcase what rural communities truly need and how partnerships with TTUHSC can positively impact these remote areas.

In Case You Missed It:

It is springtime which means flowers, new beginnings, and for fourth-year medical students, Match Day!

For these 180 TTUHSC students (27 of them at TTUHSC Permian Basin) set to graduate in May, new beginnings started with anticipation and excitement as they opened their sealed envelopes simultaneously with students across the country. Once opened, the envelopes’ content revealed where they will spend the next three to seven years as residents and what specialty they will pursue for their professional careers.

Congratulations!

Sign up before March 30 and get a t-shirt!

OurHSC is a faculty and staff–driven campaign that allows employees to support the programs, people and campus priorities that make a real difference at TTUHSC. When we give collectively, we strengthen our university from the inside out; we are supporting learners, residents, colleagues and the environment where we work every day.

Automatic payroll deduction makes participation simple. A small amount per pay period can add up to a meaningful impact, and you can choose a level that’s comfortable for you.

Your reason to give is uniquely yours. Sign up to give now through March 30. Learn more and make your gift at www.ttuhsc.edu/our-hsc.
