Caring for others is close to the heart of God. As Proverbs 19:17 reminds us, ‘One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his good deed.’ At Truth Counseling, I believe compassion, support, and healing matter. Whether you are facing anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, or life transitions, you do not have to walk through it alone. Reaching out for help is a courageous step toward hope and restoration.

Even when circumstances feel limiting; there is a pathway forward. Therapy can help you recognize new doors: new ways of thinking, healthier coping strategies, restored relationships, or opportunities for healing that may have been overlooked.
What doors are open to you right now that you may not be seeing? What would it look like to take one step through?

Hebrews 6:19 reminds us that hope is “an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” ⚓

Many people come into counseling feeling overwhelmed, like they’re being tossed by waves of anxiety, grief, trauma, or life transitions. An anchor doesn’t stop the storm, but it helps you stay steady through it.

In counseling, we walk alongside you as you discover what anchors you, whether that’s faith, supportive relationships, purpose, or inner strength, always honoring your story and what matters most to you. 💙

This verse can look like living with integrity: aligning your daily choices with your values and faith. Healing isn’t just about reducing stress or managing emotions; it’s also about rediscovering purpose and walking in a way that reflects who God created you to be.

If you’re feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of your direction, therapy can be a space to realign your heart, your habits, and your hope.

💛 Foster Care is a Sacred Calling 💛

Foster and adoptive families live this verse out every single day. They open their homes, their hearts, and their lives in ways that are both beautiful and costly.

But here’s what many people don’t see…

Foster and adoptive parents often carry heavy emotional and spiritual burdens. They hold children’s stories of trauma. They navigate complicated systems. Foster parents experience repeated goodbyes. And they keep showing up, steady, faithful, and strong; even when they feel exhausted.

Sometimes, they don’t feel permission to say just how tired they really are.

Through that prayer, I feel led to make therapy more accessible by offering a self-pay discount specifically for foster and adoptive parents. My heart is to walk alongside foster/adoptive moms and dads and offer a space where they can be cared for, not just as caregivers, but as whole people.

I work with foster and adoptive parents around:
✨ Setting healthy boundaries while continuing to love well
✨ Managing stress, compassion fatigue, and emotional exhaustion
✨ Processing grief, loss, and unanswered questions
✨ Staying rooted in faith and identity when the work feels overwhelming

If you’re a foster or adoptive parent, or you know one who could use support, please reach out to me at 812-363-1300.

You do sacred work. You deserve care too. 💛

This verse is a gentle but steady invitation to trust God’s timing, even when waiting feels uncomfortable or exhausting. God is still working, even when we can’t yet see the outcome, and our strength grows as we trust Him in the waiting.

Just like a deer longs for water, our souls crave peace, connection, and purpose (Psalm 42:1). In therapy, we learn that it’s okay to acknowledge that thirst—for love, support, or guidance—and to seek healthy ways to fill it. Your mental and emotional well-being matters.
