We’re excited to introduce Courtney Shimp Nichols, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C, the in-house Nurse Practitioner serving Grandview Healthcare Center.

With more than 14 years of healthcare experience, Courtney began her journey as a CNA and worked her way through roles as an LPN and RN before becoming a Nurse Practitioner. That hands-on experience across every level of care gives her a deep understanding of what residents truly need, and what it takes to support them well.

Her background in long-term care and cardiac nursing allows her to confidently care for adults with complex medical needs. Courtney is passionate about treating residents in place whenever appropriate, helping reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and keeping residents comfortable in the place they call home.

She works closely with nursing, therapy, social services, and families to ensure each resident’s care plan reflects their goals and dignity. With special interests in chronic disease management, cardiac care, and preventative health, Courtney brings both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to her role.

We’re proud to have her as part of our teams at Grandview, and even more grateful for the heart she brings to resident care every day.
