Lindquist Mortuary & Crematory

Lindquist Mortuary & Crematory Lindquist is Utah's largest & most experienced funeral & cemetery provider since 1867. Specializing in funeral, memorial, cremation & graveside services.

With eight mortuary locations & three cemeteries across the Wasatch Front. When families need local support for funeral planning, then Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary is the team to call. This family-owned business was founded in 1867 and has maintained a history of quality care for families from all backgrounds and walks of life. The funeral planning team focuses on the highest levels of compassion and care through all stages of designing funeral services. Over the years, the family has expanded services by offering multiple funeral homes located in Northern Utah. All of these buildings are designed to provide both serenity and peace for family and friends. Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary cares about the outcome of each event, which is why the staff always focuses on personalized funeral packages. Formal funerals can be arranged if the family has specific traditions they would like to carry through the generations. Or, families can choose from non-traditional funeral packages if desired, such as direct cremation, memorial ceremonies, or life celebrations. The funeral planning team oversees the smallest details of each event to ensure a quality outcome. Support is available for military honors and Veterans services if the deceased served in the armed forces. Additionally, green burial services are offered if families are looking for an eco-friendly way to lay someone to rest. Other unique offerings include world-wide shipping support, grief resources, personalized grave markers, memorial jewelry, caskets, urns, headstones, and memorial keepsakes. The self-owned crematory is one of the reasons why Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary is the preferred provider for cremation services in Northern Utah. This cremation facility is designed with modern features and serves the needs of all of the Lindquist funeral homes in the area. The cremation staff promises quality services by keeping your loved one in the care of our staff through all stages of the cremation process. Direct cremation is an option, or some families prefer cremation with a memorial or life celebration. These services are available throughout the surrounding community with locations in all of the major cities: Ogden, Layton, Kaysville, Bountiful, and Syracuse. For information about these funeral packages, talk to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary to learn more. This funeral home is located at 3408 Washington Blvd Ogden, UT 84401. Call (801) 394-6666 to talk to an experienced funeral director.

STAFF RECOGNITION | KYLE ANDERSON

Meet Kyle, one of our dedicated Funeral Arrangers here at Lindquist. Over the past four years, Kyle has been a valued part of our team—beginning as a Funeral Assistant and growing into his current role where he compassionately supports families every day.

Kyle grew up in Pleasant View and now calls North Ogden home. He and his wife have been married for 43 years and are proud parents of four incredible children and grandparents to six wonderful grandchildren.

Before joining Lindquist, Kyle spent 36 years with the IRS, retiring as a Director with the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration. His years of service and attention to detail continue to be an asset in the care he provides to families.

Outside of work, Kyle enjoys staying active—especially playing pickleball, skiing, and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren.

We’re grateful to have Kyle as part of the Lindquist team!

DID YOU KNOW Veterans have earned burial and memorial benefits through the VA? 🇺🇸

Many families don’t realize that the Department of Veterans Affairs provides several burial and memorial benefits at little or no cost to honor the service of those who served our country. Understanding these benefits ahead of time can bring peace of mind and help families make informed decisions.

Core VA Burial & Memorial Benefits include:

⭐ Burial in a VA National Cemetery (for eligible Veterans and some family members)
This benefit is provided at no cost and typically includes:

• A gravesite or columbarium niche for cremated remains
• Opening and closing of the grave
• A government-provided burial liner or vault
• An official VA headstone or marker
• Perpetual care and maintenance of the gravesite
• A United States burial flag to honor military service 🇺🇸
• A Presidential Memorial Certificate signed by the President
• Military funeral honors arranged through the Department of Defense

These benefits may vary slightly if burial takes place in a private or state cemetery, but Veterans still have options for recognition and memorial support.

💬 Did you know about these benefits before now?
Or have you ever attended a military funeral where these honors were presented?

Feel free to share your experience or ask questions below. Honoring those who served starts with making sure families know the benefits they’ve earned. ❤️

GOOGLE 5 STAR REVIEW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"This was my first time planning a funeral and Danny and his team were so patient and full of information. They let us take our time in making our necessary decisions and we felt heard and respected. They were concerned for our well being and checked on us to make sure we were okay and did not need anything. Wonderful experience."

When emotions feel overwhelming, writing can help create space to process them.

Journaling through grief can:
• Help release unspoken thoughts
• Preserve memories
• Track emotional patterns
• Provide a safe place for anger, sadness, or confusion

You might try:
• Writing a letter to your loved one
• Recording favorite memories
• Listing things you wish you could say
• Simply writing how today feels

There is no right or wrong way to journal. It doesn’t need to be polished. It just needs to be honest.

Supporting Grieving Children ❤️‍🩹🥺
Children grieve differently than adults. Their feelings may show up as questions, behavior changes, silence, anger, or even play.

Here are gentle ways to support a grieving child:
• Use clear, honest language
• Encourage questions
• Maintain routines when possible
• Reassure them they are safe and loved
• Allow them to express emotions in their own way

Most importantly, remind them that all feelings are okay.

Grief in children may come in waves as they grow and understand loss in new ways. Patience, presence, and consistency matter more than perfect words.

Grief Has No Timeline
Grief does not follow a schedule.
There is no “normal” amount of time to miss someone. No deadline for healing. No expiration date on love.
Some days will feel lighter. Others may feel just as heavy as the beginning. Both are part of the process.
Give yourself permission to grieve in your own way, at your own pace. Healing is not about “moving on.” It’s about learning to move forward while carrying love with you.
You are not behind. You are not doing it wrong. 💛
