🌺 Resident Spotlight: Mona 🌺

Meet Mona. A woman whose life has been full of love, laughter, and adventure! 💛

Married at just 17, Mona welcomed her baby boy a year later, who she says is “the light of her life”. Followed by three daughters who, as she says, “brought me sunshine.” ☀️ She devoted her life to caring for her children, serving as a room mother at three different schools, leading a Girl Scout troop of 25, and proudly calling herself a “professional volunteer.” 💐

Mona’s had quite the variety of careers too, from working at a cannery and waitressing, to auditing for an auto parts company, and spending 26 dedicated years with the IRS. 💼 She’s a proud grandma to 14 grandbabies and has lived in Texas, New Mexico, and Louisiana before making her home here in Utah.

She loves nature, going for hikes and scenic rides (but she’ll tell you she’s not a water person! 😄). Mona says she loves everything about The Auberge, the people, the activities, and of course our amazing staff and housekeepers who brighten her days.

Her words of wisdom?
🩵 “Try to keep my mouth shut.”

🎉 Big shoutout to our Employee of the Month, Jasmine Martinez!

She’s caring, detail-oriented, and always on top of things, while also keeping us laughing! Jas has the perfect mix of heart and humor, and a little bit of that fun “spice” that makes every shift better. Residents adore her, families trust her, and her coworkers couldn’t imagine the team without her. 💜👏 Thank you Jas!!

Weber High School seniors from the AGCOM class (Agriculture, Business, and Communications)visited and gave a wonderful presentation on dairy products! 🐄💬

Our residents loved learning from these bright students and sharing memories from their own experiences. Thank you, Weber High, for such a fun and educational afternoon! ❤️

✨ We had the opportunity to deliver our donation check to Youth Futures Ogden. We also toured their facility and learned more about the incredible resources they provide.

Youth Futures is a nonprofit that offers safe shelter, support, and resources to at-risk and homeless youth right here in our community. 💙 Their work helps ensure young people have a safe place to stay and the guidance they need to thrive.

We are grateful for the chance to support such a meaningful cause and to partner with organizations making a difference in Ogden. Youth Futures

🦬 Memory care was able to go and enjoy the views at Antelope Island State Park, while also stopping for some bites at Island Buffalo Grill. It’s never a dull moment on our outtings. We all love being able to get out and explore our beautiful scenery.

Outing to Pettingill Fruit Farm with our assisted living and memory care residents. Some got shakes, some got pumpkins, some got veggies and fruit, but none got to take the mannequin, named Mable. 🤣 Always a good time with these people!
