Did you know your fascia has over 250 million nerve endings?
That’s more than your skin.
Yet it’s one of the most overlooked systems in the body.
Most people assume pain = muscles.
But fascia is the connective web that wraps around muscles, bones, nerves, and organs. It’s what gives the body its shape, tension patterns, and ability to move smoothly. When fascia becomes restricted, dehydrated, or stuck, the body doesn’t just feel tight. It starts compensating.
That’s why tension in places like the shins or feet can show up as headaches, neck pain, or shoulder restriction. Structurally, everything is connected. Pull in one area and the strain travels. The body adapts the best it can until it can’t anymore.
Fascial restrictions can affect posture, breathing, nerve glide, and even how pressure is perceived. It’s subtle, layered, and often missed. But once you feel the difference, it’s hard to unfeel it.
This is why my work focuses so much on myofascial and neuromuscular techniques. Not forcing tissue. Not chasing pain. Listening to how the body is holding itself and helping it unwind in a way that actually lasts.
If you’ve ever thought,
“I don’t know why this hurts. It just does.”
there’s a good chance fascia is part of the story.
