Fuzzy, Furry Friends at The Artesian 🐾

There’s something truly special about the visits from our fuzzy, furry friends here in our community. These moments awaken memories of purpose, of days spent caring for our own pets, nurturing baby animals, or holding small children in our arms. They remind us of what it means to be needed, to give comfort, and to share love.

Our furry visitors don’t just bring smiles, they bring connection, companionship, and the warmth of belonging. And in every paw print left behind, they leave a reminder of the many ways love continues to find us.

Our Lake Casitas outing felt like stepping into a living storybook. With the wonderful Captain Kutchma as our storyteller and guide, we glided across shimmering waters, watched fish leap into the air, and even spotted an eagle’s nest high above the treetops. The gentle breeze, breathtaking views, and joyful laughter of our residents made the day truly unforgettable. We are so grateful to Rotary West for making this magical experience possible for our residents for the 3rd year in a row.

There’s something special about celebrating freedom in a senior living community, the freedom to belong, to be heard, to live with purpose and dignity.

This Fourth of July in Ojai, we honored our traditions with good food, outdoor fun, and fireworks under the stars, but most of all, with each other.

A Father’s Day to Remember at The Artesian! ⛳️💚

Our indoor putting experience was the perfect way to celebrate the incredible fathers and father figures in our community. It felt like a relaxed, country club-style afternoon, full of laughter, friendly competition, and heartwarming moments.

Some of our residents impressed us all as their classic golfing techniques came right back, proving that great form never fades!

A big thank you to our amazing team for creating such a memorable event. Here’s to the dads, grandpas, and gentlemen who continue to inspire us every day. 💚

This weekend, we had the joy of attending the Ojai Tennis Tournament with our very own JoAnne Miculian, and watching the matches lit a familiar spark in her.

JoAnne and her husband were avid players at the Cathedral Oaks Tennis Club in Goleta, playing several times a week. Tennis ran deep in the Miculian family, weekends often included lessons, tournaments, and matches on TV. They even traveled to Wimbledon and Indian Wells to watch the greats play.

As we sat courtside, we asked JoAnne if she’d ever want to play again. Without missing a beat, she said, “Absolutely.” That simple answer reminded us: the love of the game never truly leaves you.
