I first read this book many years ago and have been revisiting it these past few weeks in the (rare) spaces between Momming & working.

Our menstrual cycles are an opportunity for spiritual growth and expansion we have perhaps never even imagined.

I will be sharing more on this in the coming weeks. I’m doing a lot of personal and professional reflection on focusing on the cycle as a means to an end - getting pregnant - as compared with holding a deep reverence for it outside of conception.

One of my baby chickens laid her first egg!

When chickens first start laying their eggs are significantly smaller than a mature layer.

I can’t help but relate this to young women when they first start menstruating. The cycle doesn’t go from nothing to fully regulated & mature.

I was put on birth control shortly after menarche (my first period) to “regulate” my cycle.

We are so quick to force and manipulate nature. What if we just gave things more time to develop?

I cannot tell you the number of hormonal issues that are solved simply by eating breakfast within an hour of waking up!

My client Erin wrote to me after our first session that she couldn't believe how much better she was already feeling after making this one simple change.

She also shared with me that after visiting several practitioners to work on her fertility, no one had ever mentioned this!

We can make ourselves totally crazy with all of the different supplements, treatment modality considerations and tests to run to improve or assess our fertility and completely lose sight of the simple things that we can do to optimize our fertility.

I know this was a big one for me too.
