Tonight, April 1st, we welcome the beautiful Alder Full Moon 🌕🌿 (also known as the Pink Moon 🌸). In the Celtic tradition, the Alder tree is a powerful symbol of the “trailblazer”—it is one of the few trees that thrives in the delicate space between land and water, acting as a natural bridge between two worlds. ✨

As a nitrogen-fixer, the Alder actually heals the soil it grows in 🌱. On this Full Moon, I’m reflecting deeply on how we can do the same for ourselves—turning “poor soil” or heavy seasons 🥀 into a foundation for something new 🌷.

For many of us, this past year has felt like a very long, very heavy season. I know it has for me. Fall brought the profound loss of my beloved mother 💔, and winter was spent honoring her with a celebration of life 🕯️ while supporting the decline of my dear elderly best friend and Dutch Shepherd, who passed peacefully on the Spring Equinox 🐾🌈.

But just as the Alder thrives in that difficult space between worlds, we can find our footing in the transition 🌉. For me, this moon is about the courage to step across that threshold 🦋—balancing deep grief with the joy of giving healings and readings, performing with Téka, my Irish Band, and Melena & Aje Latina 🎶, and the pride I feel for my piano students who recently earned honors in state evaluations 🎹🏆.

Whether you are observing Passover or Easter 🕍⛪, or simply honoring the natural shift of the seasons 🍂🌻, this time of year speaks to a universal theme: the transition from the “narrow place” into a space of renewal and expansion ✨💖.

Have you ever wondered why a nautilus shell or a blooming sunflower feels so inherently “right” to look at?

Geometry isn’t just a mathematical concept; it is an inherent property of the aether—the subtle, conductive medium that carries vibration and information throughout the universe. Our bodies, as direct expressions of this medium, are organized by these same underlying geometric patterns.

Your body’s electrical field isn’t random. It is patterned, ordered, and informed by the same principles that guide the growth of galaxies. This is the architecture of life itself.

The Fibonacci sequence ~ 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144… ~ is one such pattern.

When we align our movement, breath, and environment with these natural ratios, we aren’t just “relaxing”—we are coming back into resonance with the fundamental fabric of reality. We are returning to our natural state of flow.

Finding a moment of stillness at the San Luis Obispo Creek today along the Bob Jones Trail. 🌿✨
There’s something so grounding about the sound of the water and the quiet shift of the trees. While sitting here, I came across these two rocks: Love and Hope.
It felt like a gentle reminder that even in the middle of a heavy or difficult season, those two things are always beneath our feet if we look for them.

🖤 Holding Space in Anticipatory Grief
Anticipatory grief is a heavy, quiet companion. For many weeks, my heart has been living with the profound knowledge that a close loved one is in hospice and nearing their transition. This kind of knowing asks us to live in a liminal space—between what was and what will be—and it requires a profound slowing down. ⏳

I’ve been intentionally dialing back my pace and giving myself permission to just be within this challenging time.

Here’s what that looks like for me right now:
• Reflecting & Journaling: I’m honoring the beautiful complexity of our relationship by journaling ✍️ and collecting cherished photos and stories 🖼️ for the upcoming celebration of life.

• Presence & Connection: I’m focusing on being deeply present for my family, my friends, and my clients. Showing up where I can, even when it’s hard. 🫂

• Joy Anchors: To balance the sorrow, I’m leaning into things that nourish my soul: walks in nature 🌳, connecting with my core self by playing the piano and singing 🎹🎤, enjoying live music concerts 🎶, and moving my body in African drumming and dance class 🥁 and yoga🧘‍♀️.

• Giving Space to Cry: Crucially, I’m giving myself the full space to cry 💧 when the waves of sadness hit, without judgment or trying to fix it.

This journey is bittersweet, but it is also steeped in deep comfort. My enduring belief remains that the human consciousness does not die ✨—that the energy and love we share transcends the physical form.

If you are navigating anticipatory grief or loss, please know you are not alone. Be gentle with yourself. Show up for yourself. Find your anchors of joy and give yourself permission to grieve fully.

Hey beautiful people,

It’s easy to want to close ourselves off when the world, or even just our own feelings, start to feel heavy 😥.

We build walls to protect our hearts, but sometimes that just traps the good stuff—like joy and connection—on the outside too.

I wanted to share a few ways I work on staying open-hearted and processing those big, heavy emotions without getting overwhelmed:

1. Acknowledge Without Judgment: The first step to processing is simply noticing what’s there. Instead of saying, “I shouldn’t feel this,” try saying, “I feel sad right now, and that’s okay.” Validation is your superpower. 🌟

2. Move the Energy: Emotions are energy in motion! They need an outlet. Take a brisk walk 🚶‍♀️, dance to a song that matches your mood (or one that lifts it) 🎶, stretch, or shake it out. Physical movement helps release the mental and emotional tension you’re holding.

3. Create a Container (Self-Care): You can’t pour from an empty or cracked cup ☕. When things are heavy, you need extra gentleness.
• Get Quiet: Spend 5-10 minutes with your phone off, just breathing. 🧘
• Nourish: Drink water 💧, eat a real meal 🍎, and get enough sleep 😴. These basics make a huge difference in your resilience.• Connect: Talk to a trusted friend 🫂, journal about what’s coming up ✍️, or hug a pet. Sharing the weight makes it lighter.

Staying open doesn’t mean being invulnerable; it means being courageously present with whatever arises. Be gentle with yourself—you’re doing great. ✨

As a sound healer, evidential medium and coach, regular meditation is absolutely essential for me. It’s how I clear my mind, create space, and differentiate between personal thoughts and the information I receive. It’s truly vital for maintaining clarity in my work.

But beyond my practice, meditation is just as crucial for me as a person. It helps me quiet the noise, reconnect with my inner self, and return to a state of calm.

I often hear from others that their minds get in the way of meditating. And I totally get it! That’s why I love to share another powerful path to peace: nature.

Sometimes, simply gazing quietly at the trees or taking a long, mindful walk in the forest can have a profoundly similar effect. It’s one of the best ways I know to soothe my soul, find my center, and tap into that deep, quiet resonance.
