Friends! This is my favorite experience of the year. It’s hard to express the joy that comes forth when you bring together incredible musicians that love to jam with each other, an incredible venue with all the great mountain town activities just steps away, ability to camp along an easily accessible river, and a group of people that put it together that you feel like you are family with by the end of the weekend. It’s pure soul shine!

We’re headed to Riverside Park, right in the heart of Salida, one of my favorite places in Colorado. Backed up to the Arkansas River, this venue has the character, nature access, and ‘small town charm’ that fits perfectly with the Bonfire ethos.

Eat Well My Friends. Your elder life experience depends on it.
There is so much to this meal, but it's also simply, the best sourced ingredients I can find. That's my diet, and my health insurance.

- Fresh caught, filet frozen right off the boat, family fisherman, line caught salmon, direct shipped from Alaska. One of his daughters lives down the street from us. There is no fishy smell or flavor, even in the skin, only the light hint of natural sea you get from fresh fish. Only in season.

- All salad vegetables, including ferments, from our local farmers market I helped start five years ago to make sure our community was well connected and had better access to our small local farmers and food makers.

- homemade pesto - organic greens & herbs, local olive oil, nuts & seeds from a regional organic dry goods distributor, and the lemons from our yard.

Better than high end restaurant food, and no needed fillers for flavor.
Start with just one or two ingredients and build from there.

This is the best festival experience, hands down!
Colorado friends, most of you have not met Alana and Cedar, my family will be here for the weekend, come join us!

Been a while. Not intentionally, only had the energy to share posts my wife made that I liked. I probably bit off more than I could chew these last few years, and with a mouth that’s full, even when it’s mostly yummy goodness, it felt better to just keep my mouth closed, and savor it. But there is more space now, between bites to share more. I miss many of you that I haven’t seen in some time. Thanks for sharing a little of your lives with us here. As silly as it seems this “social media experiment”, it does bring a smile to my heart when I get a glimpse of your lives.
