This week, our CEO Gagan Pawar, MD, MBA, participated as a panelist at Housing Trust Fund VC’s Annual Meeting, joining Danielle Borja, President and CEO of the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce; Rick MacLennan, Ed.D, Chancellor of the Ventura County Community College District; Andy Conli, CEO of the West Ventura County Business Alliance; and Stephanie Caldwell, President and CEO of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce. Together, they discussed how housing affects every part of Ventura County’s economy, including its significant influence on healthcare. Housing insecurity often leads to increased stress, unmanaged chronic conditions, reduced access to preventive care, and overall declines in physical and mental health. This conversation underscored how essential stable housing is to a healthy and thriving community.
