Congratulations to Salatka House — our August Life Skills Competition Winners! 🏆💙

This month, we witnessed something truly beautiful: growth, determination, and hearts full of courage. With the loving guidance of their incredible staff, Grace and Tanisha, and the steady encouragement of their QIDP, Greg, the Salatka team didn’t just complete tasks — they triumphed.

From making beds with care to keeping their rooms clean and organized, Kennedy, Kevin, Aaron, and Mark showed us that every small step toward independence is a giant leap in confidence and self-worth. These everyday victories reflect the deeper transformation happening at the Center of Family Love — lives being shaped by love, faith, and purpose.

Lori attends sensory class every Monday through Friday, where she’s building essential life skills like social interaction, money management, and creative expression through art projects like painting and coloring. One of her favorite activities is tackling puzzles — she thrives on the challenge and celebrates every piece she fits into place.

With the unwavering encouragement of our dedicated staff, Lori has made incredible strides. One of her proudest accomplishments? Learning to identify parts of the human body. Ask her, “Lori, where is the ear?” and she’ll point right to it with a big smile. She can now even recognize and point to pictures of hands, ears, and more — milestones that once seemed so far away.

These beautiful moments are more than just learning achievements — they’re a testament to Lori’s hard work and the life-changing power of consistent love, support, and faith from people like you. Thank you for helping Lori shine.

Every day, they kick off class by playing together, sharing laughter, cheering each other on, and building a beautiful bond. While it may look like simple fun, this joyful routine is doing something powerful: helping them grow in social skills, teamwork, and confidence.

🛏️ About the Role:
As Residential Staff, you will work directly with residents with intellectual and physical disabilities, helping with daily routines, nighttime care, emotional support, and ensuring a safe, respectful, and loving environment throughout the night. This is a 16-hour shift (4 PM – 8 AM)—one of the most vital and impactful roles within our organization.
