The story of Mary and Martha stirs up memories of sibling rivalry for many of us. What battles with your siblings do you remember the most? What did you do to get your parents to notice you? Have you ever asked Martha's question, "Lord, don't you care?"(Luke 10:8-42) Join us as we read through "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" and discover together if it is possible for our basic character to change, or are we destined to live our lives stuck in a predetermined nature?

Praise God we excited about having teams this year. A team can be runners, cheer-ers, volunteers, those who manage a booth. Someone acts as the team leader and keeps track of and encourages people to join their team. They create a team name and keep track of team members and their roles. Individual runners sign up for the race at runsignup.com look for open hands

Joseph - best dressed/costume/colors
Fruit of the spirit - best attitude
Good Samaritan - most helpful
Barnabus - most encouraging

Have you ever thought about what you are allowing to control you? Do circumstances control your actions? Do thoughts control your attitude? Do people control how you respond to difficulties? Join us on Monday, September 15th from 5:30-7:00pm at the Big Lake Baptist Office to learn what God says should control us. Romans 12:2 says, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may approve what the will of God is, that which is good and pleasing and perfect."
