Thank you for your prayers and petitions during our family emergency.
We were facing what appeared to be an outcome of great loss and mourning. Based on the reports from medical staff, test results, and vital signs, we were responsibly preparing ourselves for that reality.
But God.
He has turned our mourning into joyful dancing. He has removed our garments of sorrow and clothed us with joy, that we may sing His praises and not be silent.
“O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.” (Psalm 30:11–12)
God’s ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are far above ours. What seemed certain to man was not final in His hands. What appeared destined for the grave, God—in His mercy—has brought back to life. The Most High God, alone, is the giver of life, both on earth and in heaven.
Please continue to pray as the recovery process now begins.
We still do not fully understand what has happened, nor do the doctors or medical staff. What we do know is this: he showed no signs of waking, no detectable brain activity, and his body was being sustained largely by medical support. Hope, from a human perspective, was nearly gone.
One final test remained, but it could not be performed until Monday due to our rural setting. Had that test been completed earlier, decisions might have been made that we cannot even bear to consider now.
Praise God for His providence.
Not one molecule escapes His attention, His design, or His purpose.
