Dr. Eric Eby
After graduating from Saginaw Valley State University cm laude with a B.S. in biology and chemistry Dr. Eby attended the University of Michigan Dental School. After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery he completed an ADA accredited General Practice Residency at the Detroit Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, Detroit, MI. In 2009 Dr. Eby was awarded with his Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. A "Fellow" in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) has been recognized by other general dentists as a leader and exemplifies to other dentists the importance of quality continuing dental education. To earn the distinction of Fellowship more than 500 hours of post doctorate education must be completed along with a rigorous examination. With a special interest in the most advanced digital technology Dr. Eby takes a special pride of his knowledge with same day crown visits utilizing Cerec. Dr. Eby is a Cerec mentor and trainer for Patterson Dental. In 2003, 2005, and 2006 Dr. Eby was listed in America’s Top Dentists issue of Consumer Research. He received the 1998 Comprehensive Clinic Care Award and the Organization of Teachers Oral Diagnosis Award while at the University of Michigan. Dr. Eby is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Central District Dental Society, International Association of Orthodontics, Lansing Interdisciplinary Study Club, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Eby feels that prevention is the key to good long term oral health with an emphasis on education. This allows patients to make well informed decisions about their dental care. He understands that each patient is unique and uses all available options to satisfy their specific needs. He also works very close with local specialists to achieve maximum results. Dr. Eby regularly attends continuing education courses and participates in more than 100 hours per year. His interests include crown and bridge, implant dentistry, and orthodontics. Outside of the office Dr. Eby enjoys exercise, hockey, cooking, and spending time with his wife and three children
