Very sad and unsettling news for our community. McLaren’s geripsych unit closing. This was the place where our elder patients with severe mental health issues - psychosis dementia and more were treated while in crisis. This is a result of corporation greed poor management and Medicare reimburment cuts. Now families and patients are left to fend for themselves suffer or perish .
