Day 2 on Capitol Hill

MDA leadership, member dentists, and dental students kept the momentum going—connecting with members of Michigan’s congressional delegation and their teams to advocate for dentistry and the patients we serve.

Meetings included Rep. Rashida Talib (D-Detroit, MI-12) and Rep. Jack Bergman (R-Watersmeet, MI-1).

Two days. One message. Michigan dentistry is at the table.

Michigan showed up on Capitol Hill!

MDA leadership, member dentists, and dental students from across the state came together in Washington, D.C. for Lobby Day—connecting with federal legislators and their teams to advocate for the future of dentistry and the patients we serve.

From conversations with Rep. Tom Barrett (R-Lansing, MI-7), Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-Detroit, MI-13), Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet (D-Bay City, MI-8), and Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-Zeeland, MI-4), to gathering on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, our members made one thing clear: Michigan dentistry has a strong, united voice.
