On October 29, Dr. Doug LaDue, pediatric dental specialist and member of the MDA Committee on Government, Insurance, and Access, testified before lawmakers at the State Capitol in support of MDA-initiated House Bills 4593 and 4594 — legislation addressing the issue of dentists advertising as specialists when they are not.

Joining in support, new MDA member Dr. Jashleen Bedi provided compelling testimony via Zoom, while the Michigan Association of Orthodontists also voiced their backing of the bills.

Together, these efforts showcase the power of MDA advocacy and the strength of our unified voice in protecting Michigan patients and upholding professional standards across the dental community. 💪
