.One speaker. Multiple sessions. And yes—you’re going to want to be in all of them.

John Gammichia isn’t just presenting once—he’s taking the stage multiple times at the 2026 MDA Annual Session.

That means more chances to learn…
but also more chances to miss out if he’s not on your schedule.

Michigan showed up on Capitol Hill!

MDA leadership, member dentists, and dental students from across the state came together in Washington, D.C. for Lobby Day—connecting with federal legislators and their teams to advocate for the future of dentistry and the patients we serve.

From conversations with Rep. Tom Barrett (R-Lansing, MI-7), Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-Detroit, MI-13), Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet (D-Bay City, MI-8), and Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-Zeeland, MI-4), to gathering on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, our members made one thing clear: Michigan dentistry has a strong, united voice.

Advocacy in action. Presence that matters. A stronger future for dentistry.

Our Story

Since its inception more than 160 years ago, the Michigan Dental Association has helped member dentists succeed. From its initial campaign to create a dental school at the University of Michigan and its tireless promotion of strict ethical standards for the profession, the MDA has grown to provide a wide array of services for dentists and dental team members, including continuing education, legislative advocacy, insurance programs, publications, practice management assistance, and endorsed member services. In an ever-changing practice environment, the MDA remains committed to greater success for its members and to protecting and improving the dental health of Michigan residents.
