One of the biggest responsibilities faced by parents of children with special health care needs is planning for their child’s future. It is not just about paperwork, but also ensuring their children are supported and cared for throughout their lives. Our parent panel will share their lived experiences and challenges to help you learn about some of the options available for your child and family.

The Family Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs is pleased to announce our next webinar in the Navigating Healthcare Workshop series. The topic of the webinar is An Introduction to TEFRA.

Join us to learn about TEFRA, a pathway to Medicaid for children with complex needs. This program makes Medicaid available to children with certain physical and/or behavioral disabilities who would not otherwise be eligible due to parent or guardian’s income. CSHCS Nurse Consultant Caitlin Conroy will give an overview of the program, eligibility requirements, and how to apply.
