WILL BREAST ASYMMETRY ISSUE GO AWAY AFTER IMPLANTS ARE REMOVED?

I have 330cc saline. Incision was through axillary. 10 years now I want to take them out. I'm pretty active and one breast has fallen to the side more towards the bottom of the armpit, it gets in the way of my arm, if I am leaning over the breast comes back. It's like the pocket for that breast is larger. Will that pocket and asymmetry issue go away or does the surgeon have to go inside and stitch the pocket? And Does that usually cost more if that is needed?

A:
From your history, it seems that the pocket is larger on one side and the implant then falls to to the side. The pocket does not need to be stitched down if you are removing your implants. With removal of implants, this problem should be gone. Usually the capsule is very thin and flimsy with saline implants and does not require removal unless you want it removed. Drains are commonly used in this surgery to help decrease the chance of a seroma. Discuss all of your concerns with your plastic surgeon. Best wishes.

Q: How tight should I wrap my strap around my chest?
A: The strap should be "snug". It should be tight enough to feel the downward pressure but not so tight you feel like you cannot breathe. When you return for a follow-up appointment, ask your plastic surgeon to show you how to place your strap.
