Class starts at 9 am with registration beginning at 8:30am. Course work in the morning at the lecture hall, with the field exercise in the afternoon at the adjacent arena. Students will be applying the skills they just learned to include setting up and breaking down a decontamination area. This will include things like use of zones, moving animals through the process, assessing effective decontamination, PPE, and handling intake, discharge, and MUCH more. Both dogs and horses will be available for the live portion for real world hands-on experience. There will be a hot wash immediately afterward, so expect to finish around 4:30pm to 5 pm depending on animal cooperation.
