I have an idea for therapists out there. It's not another CEU ambush, not a grind for anything. What if you could get outside for a weekend, and come back feeling like you went on a month long sabbatical?

I'm working on some ideas. But I wanna know: what would YOU want as a clinician? What's your idea of a restorative weekend?

Let me know in the comments.

Step Into the Woods, Step Out of the World.

When you walk into the woods, something changes. The busy, noisy world begins to fall away, and the rhythm of the trees takes over. The woodland has its own pace, and it'll bring you into it, if you let it. Here’s how to make the most of stepping into the green:

Start at the edge. Pause before you enter. Notice how the air feels different, cooler, softer under the trees. Walk with care. Move slowly and quietly. Feel the ground under your boots, the roots and moss guiding your steps.

Tune in. Let the sound of leaves, birdsong, and running water replace the noise of your thoughts. Notice details. Look for fungi on fallen logs, ivy climbing bark, shafts of sunlight breaking through the canopy.

Leave lighter. The woods has a way of drawing out the weight you carry. When you step back into the world, you’ll find it feels a little easier. The woods don’t just give you a walk, they give you a reset.

Your mindset matters. What do you want to build? Where do you want to go?

Hello! Now that Sequoia is open full time, I thought I would introduce myself (again for some of you).

I'm a licensed therapist & a sylvotherapist (essentially being out in nature using tools like forest bathing and grounding to improve well-being).

Feel free to reach out if you have questions about therapy, or about how I can help you find your way back to yourself.

It's been basically 3 years since we opened to the community. This year to celebrate, we're doing something new: morning sessions.

Starting August 5th, Sequoia will be open full time, not just in the afternoons. If mornings are a better time to meet, reach out to claim your spot now.

See you on the trail. 😎
