I had a great week celebrating our amazing nurses. From gourmet popcorn to chips and snacks to muffins, bbq and nachos! And let’s not forget the goodie bags. Thank you for all you do for our residents each and every day. You make a difference and are so appreciated! ❤️❤️💐💐🎉🎉

So much fun making Easter centerpieces. Only thing left was the flowers in the mason jar because everyone ate the candy eggs and bunny peeps before they left the table!! Thank you to Cura Hospice for this fun activity.

A success story from Windsor Hills nursing center:

On May 22nd 2024 Mr Charles hornet Hunter became a long-term care resident at our facility . His goal at the time was to attend restorative services or part b therapy services in order to return to the community. Mr Hunter came to us in a wheelchair and was unable to walk on his own once again. Mr Hunter was quickly placed on services and worked with the therapy department along with participating in exercise activities led by our activities director. Soon Mr Hunter was strong enough to walk with assistance with a walker. He gradually got to a place where he was able to walk with a cane which helped him regain his balance. As he progressed through his therapy he began to walk without his Cane and was soon walking around the building. Soon we had Mr Hunter letting us know that he was going outside for fresh air and to walk walk walk. Now on any given day if you visit Windsor Hills nursing center you can find Mr Hunter outside sitting near the flower bed drinking his coffee enjoying the outside air. He likes to walk around the facility and visit with other residents enjoying the activities. Mr Hunter has a great support team in his sister. She was clear what the hopes were for Mr Hunter when she came to tour our facility and we are so happy that Mr Hunter has reached his goal with our help. Although we are very sad to see Mr Hunter is leaving our facility for an assisted living facility we are very happy he works so hard with our team and that we have succeeded in what we put in place for this resident. In talking with Mr Hunter, he has stated that he has already said his next goal is being able to drive again. He is going to miss a lot of the people here that he has become close with. All of the team and family here in Windsor Hills nursing center wants to wish Mr Hunter good luck and love as he goes off to start the next new chapter in his life. We love you and will miss you Mr Hunter.
