When Lavon Battle was growing up, Black History was a spectacle.

The streets were filled with big parades. The libraries were packed. The churches were loud with celebration.

Today? Those parades don’t happen much anymore.

You might think that’s a step backward. But at 63 years old, Lavon sees it differently.

She’s seen a world change from celebrating history in the streets to making history in the leadership of companies like M&R Doyle Holdings.

For Lavon, the "cake" wasn't just a parade—it was seeing an African American President in her lifetime. And today, it’s about the quiet, powerful work of passing down a "God-first" work ethic to the next generation.

On behalf of the BSE & MRD family, we celebrate 22 YEARS of incredible dedication and leadership from Lavon! 🙌💼

Starting her career as an HTS, Lavon worked hands-on with developmentally disabled clients. In early 2020, just before Rod and Mia acquired Allied, she stepped up as Program Coordinator—supervising HTSs and being the crucial bridge between clients and the State of Oklahoma, always advocating fiercely to ensure quality care. 💪❤️

Recently, Lavon took on the role of Interim Director of Allied Community Services, juggling client care while leading her team with grace and patience—truly a powerhouse! 🚀🌟

Who We Are

Allied provides services for individuals that experience a developmental or cognitive disability so they can “Live Abundantly.” Individuals can receive in-home support waiver services as well as employment assistance. Our Habilitation Training Specialist provide personal assistance, emotional support and personal care. An HTS must document and work on training goals established in a care plan for the individual. Such a care plan may include items such as cooking, self-care and working with money skills. Training activities vary according to the abilities of the individual receiving services.
