I know when you are sick you want to feel better, but please do not expect to receive or ask for an antibiotic if it’s a virus causing your illness. Believe me, I want you to feel better soon as well and will do my best to help you.

I know not all agree with wearing masks, but there is evidence that supports some effectiveness in reducing chances of getting sick. But protecting yourself goes beyond wearing the mask... including hand hygiene (washing hands or using hand sanitizer) after touching things/areas not accustom to and especially not touching your face (rubbing your eyes/nose/mouth) until hands have been cleaned.

Continue to wear a mask and practice social distancing after vaccination. We don’t yet know whether getting a COVID-19 vaccine will prevent you from spreading the virus to other people, even if you don’t get sick yourself. Experts are also looking at how many people get vaccinated and how COVID-19 is spreading in communities.

Until we learn more, continue to:
• Wear a mask over your nose and mouth.
• Stay at least 6 feet away from others.
• Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces.
• Wash your hands often.
