You all know that I talk about being basically a walking barometer. So if this is you too…and you are hurting…can I encourage you, from personal experience, to move? Maybe get on the mat? I know…again from personal experience, that you really just want to curl up in a blanket but really it helps your body to move! If you do get on the mat, just be gentle with yourself! Take care of you! Remember that it’s JanYOUary! Hope to see you soon!
If you've been wondering why your body feels like it's predicting the weather better than our app this week, you're not alone! Right now we're in the thick of the RED in the Aches & Pains Forecast. We've been dealing with fluctuating pressure (sinus headaches and dizziness) combined with multiple cold blasts dropping us into the upper 20s to lower 30s at night. That combo is brutal for arthritis, fibromyalgia, autoimmune flares and deep muscle/joint aches - especially those early mornings when it's hardest to get moving. Yeah, I feel that sometimes, too. 😬
The good news? Pressure starts stabilizing and rising late this week and into early next week, which usually brings noticeable relief for some weather-sensitive people. The worst of the flares should peak Wednesday–Friday mornings, then ease as we head toward Sunday. More Arctic air Monday and Tuesday mornings could bring back some flares, so enjoy the breaks when your body feels better.
If you're hurting today:
😩Extra heating pads & gentle movement.
😌Stay hydrated (cold, dry air dehydrates fast).
🥱Give yourself permission to take it slow.
You're not imagining it - your body IS reacting to the atmosphere. Hang in there!
