Hello SLP friends and colleagues! I’m MaLinda Pollard, M.S.,CCC-SLP. My partner, Kimberly, and I are so thankful you are here on our site and we look forward to serving your SLP needs to best of our ability. I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Masters of Science in Communication Disorders in 2009. My professional experience over the past 11 years includes: working in SNF’s, acute and rehab hospitals, long term acute care but the majority of my profession has been practicing in the outpatient setting. Over the past 11 years, I have gotten so much joy in treating my patients and I personally think, Speech Therapy is the coolest job anyone could have! How rewarding it is that our patients/clients/students come to us with a need and we get to meet their individual needs and we actually get paid to do it?! Shout out to my husband, Jayson of 16 years who has been beside me all through graduate school, 11 years (and counting) of practicing Speech-Language Pathology and now the start of SLP Emporium. We live in Southeast Oklahoma and have two smart, talented, beautiful children, Jackson and Mallory.
You know how you meet people and you just click? Well, that’s the story of Kimberly and I. She has a background in business, so when I was thinking about starting this SLP Marketplace she was the second person I bounced this idea off of. (My husband Jayson was the first) We had a long Sunday afternoon discussion about having quality therapy material for all ages and disorders that could be found in one place… and here we are today with SLP Emporium. Kimberly and I know that SLP’s are passionate about doing the very best for each person they serve, and we want to provide a SLP specific market place so we SLP’s can easily access high quality material to meet those needs!
