Did you know you have a dominant eye, just like being right or left-handed?

We always test for eye dominance, especially when planning for a procedure that can eliminate the need for glasses or cataracts for the rest of your life. We call it Custom Lens Replacement (CLR), premium cataract surgery, or blended vision LASIK.

Why it matters:
-Your dominant eye is typically better suited for distance vision.
-Your non-dominant eye may be optimized for near tasks in procedures like blended vision, where one eye sees far and the other sees up close.
-Knowing which eye is dominant helps us decide which lenses go in which eyes—and whether blended vision will feel natural to your brain.

👓 For some people, blended vision can reduce or even eliminate the need for reading glasses—but it’s not for everyone. That’s why we test it in the exam room before making any decisions.
