On the topic of creativity, high school freshman Bethlin expressed, "For me, being creative means taking an idea in my brain and making it a thing. Sometimes it’s an image, I will get paper out and sketch it. It can be words, so I write them down. Other times it’s an idea, and I work hard to make it a reality."

She also mentioned, "I love to play music, and sketch. I have to understand that my ideas aren’t always going to be the best, but I still have to try them. If I fail at something, I need to try a more creative approach to the situation."
